Wilco, meaning “Will Comply”, started in Chicago, IL in 1994. The original members were most members of the alternative country group, Uncle Tupelo, to form their current alternative rock band. Since then, most of the original Wilco members have left, but the current line up is still rockin’ it with original members Jeff Tweedy and John Stirratt, along with “new” members Nels Cline, Glenn Kotche, Pat Sansone, and Mikael Jorgensen. Their latest and seventh studio album, Wilco (the album), was released in 2009 and was nominated for a Grammy for the 2009 Best Americana Album Award.
